This was THE perfect "fasting from fiction" read for Lent. Looking at the Holy Family from a very human perspective, particularly Yeshua, made it so enjoyable. One of my favorite. parts was Yeshua visiting with his slightly disabled best friend and giving him his hand carved horse because Ezra was sick and wouldn't be able to make the journey to Jerusalem for the Passover. Scattered through out are Bible quotes, often recited from memory by Yeshua for the edification of his audience. <br />Already planning the 'sequel' Disciples of Doubt for next year's fast.
