                                               Wonderful, wonderful book,
                             written by a wonderful, wonderful
priest, whom I respect so much!
Here's my 5* review from Amazon: What a pleasure to read Fr. Azam's book. I have a much better knowledge of the history of the Eudist order of priests, and why their order is named Congregation of Jesus and Mary. Very inspiring to read about St. John Eudes' love of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Of course, though, the best parts to me are the peeks into his personal life, both the heartaches and the joys, especially the interactions with his mama.

Here's his newest book, which I have not had the opportunity to read, but I can only imagine it's even better than the first:

                                  I absolutely love this book!
I look forward to each day's
                                  scripture verse and the wise
                                  words that accompany it.

Recommended by Mary Peters, gifted to us
by Diane Wadman.

Bishop Barron is at his best,
describing his Word on Fire ministry:
integrating the spiritual life with the
life of evangelization.

Quoting from the Introduction:
"Take Centered with you to prayer.
Reflect on the ways Bishop Barron
articulates the truths of Catholicism
and allow them to shape your own articulation...
Too often we separate our spiritual lives from the life of evangelization. This book will integrate the two.

Even better than the first one!!!
I know it doesn't actually fall under the category
of a 'God Book'
but I know God must be smiling,
as it's all about the goodness and joy
of friendship and care for others.

This is a treasured gift from Diane Quinn.
It's reading the Bible as a piece of literature, which, of course, it is, but more like a narrative.
I'm going through it slowly, wishing all I read would take up residence in my brain. I try to read a bit every day
as it's so pleasureable.
Having traveled on a pilgrimage
with Bill Creasy,
I've had the pleasure first hand of experiencing his
extensive bible knowledge, which takes such good form in this book.
